The Creative Industries are fading and are no guide for the post digital economy; the challenge is to identify the future models of work that will include a complete revision of the notion of “work” and for which we do not know yet how their monetisation will work. The EU needs to acknowledge the decisive role of culture and creativity for the future of Europe and needs to seriously invest into cultural research and development that implies the right to fail.

    • Well, the language of this platform is English, so please use this language in this thread. If you have problems following the discussion in English, you can use Google Translate. For netiquette I advise you to first look at the link HOW TO JAM.

  • To relaunching the discussion we tried to summarise what has been discussed so far under a statement that could be part of a position paper of the culture sector addressing the future of the EU:

"The Creative Industries are fading and are no guide for the post digital economy; the challenge is to identify the future models of work that will include a complete revision of the notion of “work” and for which we do not know yet how their monetisation will work. The EU needs to acknowledge the decisive role of culture and creativity for the future of Europe and needs to seriously invest into cultural research and development that implies the right to fail."

We are looking forward to your contributions in response to this statement.

  • I have to leave too, it has been great to share with you !!! I will read the sumary of the debate, hasta pronto !!!

    • We're online until 9pm - feel free to login later!

  • I will need to leave the discussion right now (in order to use my vehicle for the promotion of our science-arts project I need to service it with a non-artistic mechanic!)... I will be reconnecting if possible later in the afternoon...I have seen some interesting points in this first hour (including some resonance with issues which were otherwise difficult for me to share in Italy), so I have appreciated this session.

.feel free to check http://www.pibinko.org to understand where we are trying to apply this discussion (a rural lesser known valley of Southern Tuscany)- saluti

    • Yes thx and hopefully see you later!
